Production begins at the new IMS GEAR building in Villingen-Schwenningen

Gear and cog specialist IMS Gear has added an extra 15,000 m² to its production facilities.

The focus at their expanded production site is now on manufacturing planetary gears for industrial applications, by which IMS Gear intends to open up a new area of business.

Bad weather and the pandemic caused delays, but by coordinating operations on the construction site, we got everything back on schedule. This enabled the first products to leave the IMS Gear factory in Villingen-Schwenningen before Christmas.

Ingenieurbüro Liebert, working in collaboration with Krehl Girke Architects of Konstanz, planned the entire infrastructure for all the technical areas and supervised construction.
